Old Course Campaign No.7

Old Course Hotel in St Andrews is hallowed ground for golfers of course. The marketing department is very quick to either spot trends or update their new looks and implement new ideas. Our commission this time was in two parts. As it was Christmas the Kohler Group hotel wanted to update its existing and dated imagery. Our skills in lifestyle and people photography were needed to create authentic and believable images with a slight Disney feel to them. As Kohler is an American company they needed that classic Coca Cola feel to the images but in a way that would fit with the UK customers.

 

Secondly, we were asked to supply images that celebrated family and the food and beverages which are offered. Old Course has some great food and two restaurants in which they serve this. It was important to capture quality family images that showed family and togetherness whilst enjoying the location. We did this with classical lighting and considered composition.

 

The Old Course at St Andrews, also known as the Old Lady or the Grand Old Lady, is considered the oldest golf course in the world. It is a public course over common land in St Andrews, Fife, Scotland and is held in trust by the St Andrews Links Trust under an act of Parliament.
